       Shell Eco-marathon is a global energy efficiency competition sponsored by Shell where teams build vehicles to achieve the highest possible fuel efficiency. The competition is divided into two classes, Prototype, and UrbanConcept, and three energy categories: battery-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, and internal combustion engine. Since 2010, Semar UGM Team has been a proud participant in the prestigious Shell Eco-marathon Asia and Middle East competition, which began in 1985 in Europe. Our team made its debut in 2010 in Malaysia, with our first-generation proto gasoline car and we were honored to receive the award for Best 10 Innovative Design. 

        The following year, we returned to the competition with our first-generation urban car and achieved a remarkable 3rd place finish. After a brief hiatus, we returned to the competition in 2017 with renewed determination to prove our team’s global competitiveness. Our efforts paid off, as we were named grand finalists in the Driver’s World Championship Regional Asia. In 2018, we achieved even greater success, with 2nd Place in Urban Gasoline, 4th Place in Prototype Electric, and 1st Place in the Driver’s World Championship Asia. We are proud of our achievements and are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable transportation technology on the global stage.

Drivers World Championship

         Drivers World Championship is the sequel of Shell Eco-marathon where teams at the regional level go head head-to-head with one another in an exciting race for speed and efficiency on the global World Championship finale. This competition series is exclusively for competing teams in the Urban Concept category. Our team made our debut in 2017, where the most energy-efficient urban cars race and the top 3 teams have the opportunity to compete in the Driver’s World Championship in London. We were thrilled to be among the top 8 finalists and although we did not make it to London that year, in 2018 we achieved a remarkable 1st Place in the Urban Driver’s World Championship Asia, earning us the opportunity to represent our team and country in London, where we achieved a Top 6 finish.

KMHE 

Kontes Mobil Hemat
Energi

              Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) is a national event organized by Direktorat Jendral Pendidikan Tinggi, which is commonly abbreviated, DIKTI which aims to provide a forum for technical students all over Indonesia to apply knowledge gained from college and improve creativity, discipline, and ability of soft skill and hard skill.  

            As KMHE started in 2015, we have joined the competition and left many great achievements since then. Even in 2016, when Universitas Gadjah Mada trusted to host the competition, we participated all three of our cars; Prototype Diesel, Prototype Electic and Urban Gasoline and got a great footprints in it. This year, in KMHE 2019, we successfully took 1st Place on Urban Gasoline category and 1st place for the newest category which is Eco Race (Kontes Mobil Balap Hemat Energi).
